Whether positions are currently open or not, Rhein Precision is always looking for qualified personnel in Machining and Production Finishing.
Machining: Machinists are needed at all levels.
At an entry level, we are looking for machine operators that can operate conventional machinery and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges. Candidates need to have a basic understanding of drawings and blueprint symbols, as well as the ability to perform basic setups and machine maintenance.
At the more experienced level, we are looking for machinists with a thorough knowledge of all machine shop procedures, safety regulations and various machines. Qualified candidates possess the ability to program machines and apply machine shop theory and procedures. They can study blueprints, drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of a finished work piece, its sequence of operations, and setup requirements. They also have the ability to design and build advanced processes and tooling. This level also requires the ability to confer with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve machining or assembly issues.
Production Finishing: Production finishers are needed at all levels.
Entry level finishers need to be proficient in the use of measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers. Qualified candidates must have the ability to perform entry level prep work for pre-finishing, grinding, polishing, buffing and low level assembly work.
More experienced finishers perform pre-finish work, general finishing, and high level assembly work. At the highest skill level, personnel are capable of finishing complex instruments to very tight tolerances by hand. Requirements also include the ability to create and follow manufacturing procedures.
